Etna & Denning Tornado Memorial Service
One year has passed since Franklin County was impacted by the tornado that hit Etna and Denning. Judge Joe Powell has signed a proclamation recognizing Friday May 25 as an official day of remembrance for our communities’ losses and our efforts to recover from them.
In honor of the lives that were lost and to recognize the efforts of neighbors helping neighbors to recover, a memorial service will be held at Arkansas Tech University‘s Conference Hall on Friday May 25 at 9:00 AM.
Several public officials, including Congressman Steve Womack and Representative Leslee Post, who assisted with the response and recovery efforts will speak. Citizens who lived in the impacted area are encouraged to attend and the public is invited.
