Fort Smith Supports our Neighbors in Need

We give our thanks to all of you who have given and continue to give to our neighbors in need. It is so very important that we give what we can, and do what we can to help.

There are some new ways to help! As always, you can drop off donations here at Harry Robinson Buick GMC, and if you check in on facebook while you’re here, we will give you a coupon for a Free car wash. (A Good one! $24.99 value.)

There is a new project called the Moving Forward project. It is an Adopt a Family type project where all levels of assistance will be accepted and matched.  After filling out a sponsorship form you will be matched with a family or families. No level of sponsorship is too large or too small. Contact Information to participate in this project is: Moving Forward  c/o First Baptist Church, PO Box 195 Ozark, AR 72949. (We have sponsorship forms here-Just come by and ask for the form at the receptionist desk). You can also call or email them at 479.209.6367, movingforwardfranklincounty@gmail.com. This is an opportunity to make a profound impact.

We are encouraging everyone to please bring school supplies for the children of the Etna Denning area. Some of the needs include: pencils, pens, crayons, markers, loose leaf paper, folders, erasers, protractors, calculators, index cards, highlighters, backpacks, notebooks, composition notebooks, rulers, colored pencils, black/blue/red pens, three ring binders.

They are also collecting $20 gift cards for students affected by the tornado so they can just get something they want to have.

If you would prefer to make a cash donation you can send those to Ozark Rotary Club, PO Box 603, Ozark AR 72949 or the Altus Sunset Rotary Club c/o AC Moncrief, 5432 Karley Lane, Ozark AR 72949.

If you would like to make a trip up to volunteer your time please call Elaine Carroll Victim/Volunteer Work Request Coordinator (479)209-3880.

There are many more exciting opportunities to give and to help coming up.

Thanks again for your help.
