Connect with the Family: Scott

scott

Last week started our Connect with the Family series with Chelsey, and it’s been a big hit. Thank you to everyone who reads our blog. 🙂 This week we are going to get to know Scott a little better. I could write many blogs about Scott. Scott Durham’s story is a real life school of hard knocks tale and an awesome example of not just making it in a tough world, but excelling in life. Scott is one of the best hearted folks I know. (I will have to write more about his story some time!)

Here’s his business bio/photo:

My name is Scott Durham and I am the General Sales Manager here at Harry Robinson Buick GMC. I have been with HRBG since 2001 when I started as a Sales Consultant and earned the opportunity to be the Sales Manager in 2003. I enjoy spending time with my wife Renee and our four children Hope Ann, Brent, Kelsey, and Anna Grace. I also enjoy sports and playing cards. Before life was so busy I volunteered as a coach at Girls Inc. and officiated football as an Arkansas Athletic Association official. I love the automotive industry and helping customers find exactly what they are looking for. I would like to invite you to our Dealership so you can experience the right way to purchase your vehicles

Here’s Scott’s Q & A:

Job Title:
General Sales Manager

What was your first car?
1992 Toyota Tercel

Tell about your path to your current position. I think people would love to know.
When I applied at HRBG I was just looking for a job. I was willing to take any position available. During my interview for a detail position I was asked if I would consider sales. Me needing a job but with no experience I decided to accept the position. After a short time I realized I loved it and wanted more. After selling cars for 26 months I was asked to manage the sales dept. this is one of my favorite things about this store. Promoting from within. I have been the sales manager for 12 years now.

What would you name the autobiography of your life?
Unfinished business

What was the last movie, TV show or book that made you cry or tear up?
Extreme home makeover. (Every episode)

When Scott’s not here working he enjoys riding RZRs with the guys from work & their families.
