We’ve been trying to find an excellent way to promote other local businesses for some time. Ideas have been kicked around & indeed have been floating around in our heads. The last two years have been such a whirlwind, going through a remodel and acquiring our Ford dealership in Sallisaw, OK. It’s an understatement to say we’ve been working really hard. That being said, some of the things we wanted to implement just had to wait.
It’s not that I have more time now or really less on my plate. Still, at some point, I had to reprioritize my workload to get back to things like promoting local businesses, helping people learn more about their credit scores, and generally helping people with their vehicle needs.
I’m super excited to kick off this first local business spotlight with my friend Candi Schmitt.
Candi is a fabulous realtor-Buyer Specialist licensed in Arkansas & Oklahoma. She’s been a Harry Robinson Buick GMC customer for at least 7 or 8 years now!
Before joining the real estate industry, Candi worked with us in service & our body shop.
She now works for The Cassie Elwonger Team at Keller Williams Platinum Realty.
In her words, her team “helps people make dreams come true by helping them navigate one of the biggest purchases/sales decisions of their life. While we specialize in Residential, we also service commercial lease/sales clients as well as work with many investors purchasing properties for rentals and flips.”
I asked her what they do to benefit the local community, and she had a long list! Candi is an active member of the Junior League of Fort Smith, which does a lot for local foster children. She helps with events like Holiday Home Tour & Spring Market. The Cassie Elwonger Team also works closely with the HOPE campus with fundraisers. They have helped out at Antioch for Youth & Family packaging and delivering food boxes. GetReal 24, The Children’s Shelter, and Area 4 Special Olympics trivia nights are a few of the other things they do to give back to the community.
