UPDATE: As of 9/1/2016 We no longer offer CarFax service. We now offer AutoCheck services and would be happy to offer a free Autocheck report for any vehicle. Thanks! –Cathy
I’m happy to announce that for the next year we will run a Free Carfax on any vehicle for all Fort Smith & River Valley residents even if you have no intentions of buying from us!
We want to continue providing services to the community that will be truly helpful. Please stop by or email me (cathyn at harryrobinson.com) anytime for your free carfax.
I just need the VIN (read more about Vehicle Identification Numbers here) in order to run the carfax.
If you come in I’ll print it out for you and if you email me I’ll just email it back to you. Be sure to ask for me, Cathy, if you come by. In the event that you come by & I am not here or unavailable you can leave the VIN & your email and I will email it to you asap. We want to be as accommodating & helpful as possible. I do represent Harry Robinson Buick GMC in the Partners in Education Program & sometimes I can’t be here during the day & of course I live at my house so I’m not here in the evenings. I am accessible though & always available via email.
CARFAX searches its nationwide database and provides a detailed vehicle history report in seconds. Every CARFAX Report contains important information that can impact your decision about a used vehicle through a detailed VIN # check. Through this VIN search, some types of information included in CARFAX Reports include:
- Vehicle registration
- Title information
including salvaged or junked titles
- Odometer readings
- Lemon history
- Total loss accident history
- Structural damage
- Accident indicators
such as airbag deployment
- Services & repairs
- Vehicle usage
- Recall information
This is not to say that a CARFAX report is full proof. CARFAX Vehicle History Reports are based on information supplied to CARFAX. CARFAX does not have the complete history of every vehicle. Carfax does have a buy back guarantee. <— check that out!
Just to straighten out any kind of confusion about it I gotta say this, No car dealership or any one who works at a dealership has any control over what a Carfax does or does not report. We aren’t hiding any information from you and see the exact report as you do. I only add this because I have read that some blame things left off of a Carfax report on the dealer who handed it to them & that is simply untrue. The Carfax commercials even imply that if the car dealer doesn’t show you a Carfax it’s because we are trying to hide something when in all honesty it’s only because they charge us so much for the report that they advertise on TV as a “free” report.
That was my disclaimer 🙂 I don’t want anyone mad at me because of what the Carfax does or doesn’t show. I am here to happily give you a free report on any vehicle anytime you need it though. 🙂
