The extended warranty…to buy, or not to buy, that is the question, right? I have a case for buying it, but stay with me…it’s a really good case, I promise.
The Car…2004 VW Bug for my daughter. If you’re wondering who the pretty girl is, that’s my daughter. We bought the car when she was 15 & she will be 18 next month. Time flies. :/

Purchase Price under $5,000. ASE Warranty $1730.
Warranty work done to the car: $3429.47!
Her A/C went out on a trip to Tulsa. Got a new one. That was an expensive repair. $1386.66
Then she’s had several issues with her headlight, a busted hose, a CV shaft and support (whatever that is), in addition to other things go wrong with her car. I think I made an awesome decision when I bought the extended warranty. I feel so strongly about it that I would suggest this…If you plan to spend $10,000 (for example) on a vehicle for you or your teenager, I would buy an $8,000 vehicle and buy the extended warranty before I would put the entire $10,000 in a vehicle.
All in all I’ve spent $376 (out-of-pocket) on oil changes, general maintenance, and tires after having the vehicle for 2 1/2 years.
I asked for a copy of my ROs. There’s quite a few.
So all in all, I think I made a great choice.
I spoke with one of our finance managers, Jon, about warranties & he said they range between $1500 and $2500 depending on the vehicle. Here’s a link to more specific details about our warranties. Warranties can also be purchased for vehicles you already own. (good to know 🙂 ) If you would like to purchase a warranty come by or call Jon or Mike at 479-646-8600.
If you have any questions, as always just let me know. You know I’ll find out if I don’t know…I should find out what a CV shaft and support is..
Thanks for being awesome & have a beautiful week.

P.S. If you’re reading this, which obviously you are, lol, you should also read this about warranties and warranty scams. These scams are ridiculous and very well disguised.
